Barriers to Abuse
The BSA has adopted a number of policies to provide additional security for our members. Together, these policies are referred to as Scouting’s Barriers to Abuse. All leaders and parents should be familiar with these policies and any violation of these policies should be reported to the leader in charge of the activity and to the Scout Executive. A violation of these policies does not indicate that abuse has occurred but it establishes an environment where abuse could occur. Each violation must be dealt with swiftly and appropriately. Repeat violations would result in the person’s removal from all Scouting activities.
