2019 marks 100th Anniversary of Chester County Council!  We will have many events to celebrate this milestone. The largest of which will be the 100th Anniversary Camporee in October at Hibernia Park.

Scouts BSA Troops & Venturing Crews

WHEN: Fri, October 25, 6:00 pm – Sun, October 27, 12:00 pm

Come join your fellow Scouts starting at 6:00 p.m. on October 25 - 27 as we celebrate with a Jamboree-style weekend of camping, activities and fun. This is a great opportunity to invite Arrow of Light Scouts to join you for a Troop experience!  Please add them to your Troop registration.  Activities include fishing, archery, trail riding / mountain biking, an obstacle course, and various merit badges. Saturday night will include a spectacular arena show. Check out will be Sunday morning.

Cub Scout Program

WHEN: Sat, October 26, 11:00 am – Sun, October 27, 12:00 pm

All current and prospective Cub Scouts and their parents are invited to attend!

This year the C5 event (Chester County Council Cub Camporee) moves to Hibernia as part of the 100th Anniversary Camporee. C5 at the Camporee will include games, activities, outdoor learning, team-building, crafts, and camping sleepover. Cub Scouts check in and tent setup is from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2019 (please eat lunch before arrival) and activities will take place from 1-6 p.m. Dinner will be served Saturday, followed by evening arena show and a camp out. Breakfast will be served Sunday morning.

Saturday Dinner: 

  • Hotdogs (beef)
  • Hamburgers (1/4lb) (Limited QTY of Black Bean Burgers will be available)
  • Sliced cheese Mustard, Ketchup, Relish Lettuce, tomato & onion
  • Potato & Macaroni Salad

  • Iced tea mix & Lemonade mix

Sunday Breakfast:

  • Cereal w/Milk

We need volunteers to help fill open positions for the Chester County Council 100th Anniversary Camporee. We will take whatever time you have available.  See information below regarding open positions.

Volunteer Opportunities include:

Administration

  • General Registration Helpers - Assist people as they register at the Registration Building.
  • Daytime On-site Activities – Run and support program activities, food service, and ensuring scouts and visitors have a memorable experience.
  • Daytime Logistical support - Run activities, Traffic control (vehicle and foot), move tables, arena show preparation and clean up, along with many other duties to be assigned.
  • General Volunteer - Help in various areas where needed.

Medical

  • Medical Personnel
  • Transportation - Unlicensed medical personnel to transport via provided golf cart, patients back to their camp site as directed by the medical staff.
  • Photographers - Experienced photographers with large event & people photography background.
• Information Ambassadors - Answer questions, give directions, know how to use an iPad, good communication skills, bilingual helpful but not necessary.

Safety
  • Dispatchers - Experience with radio communication & need to broadcast after the approval from the supervisor.
  • Gate Watch & Security - Secure gates into the Camporee grounds with your presence.
  • Officers & Emergency Personnel- Need sworn and experienced police, EMT, etc.

Services/Facilities

  • Arena Coordinator - Help stage Arena activities & make sure area is clean of trash at all times.
  • Green Team - Pick up all trash on Camporee grounds and check facilities.
  • On-site Stage Coordinator - Help set-up and maintain area around the Talent Stage for cleanliness.
  • Table/Chair Coordinator - Distribute tables & chairs to Camporee areas as requested, and pick them up at the end of the Camporee.
  • Tent Coordinator - Help coordinate where specialty tents for on-site.
  • Trailer Assistant - Help maintain & secure location of all trailers, vendor vehicles, etc.

LAST Chance to Earn the Reverent Segment
 
If you missed the Faith March, here is your last chance* to earn the Reverent segment of the 100th Anniversary Patch set. Join our Faith Leaders on the Midway from 3 - 5 p.m., complete your passport AND attend our Interfaith Service at 7 p.m. to earn your Reverent segment. Passports will be available at the Midway. You MUST complete the passport and the Interfaith Service to be awarded your segment. These patches will be distributed at the Interfaith Service.

Your unit has signed up for the 100th Anniversary Camporee & C5 and you want to make the most of your weekend. Don't forget to consult the Leader's Guide and sign up for alerts on the Camporee text system.

Sign up*: Begins at 8 a.m. at the Midway (but is not required) or Stop by Later to See Availability
 
*Open only to registered Camporee participants

Got partials?? Scouts should bring signed partial blue card, related materials which show completion of merit badge requirements such as: completed paperwork, merit badge workbook, photographs or video (if items are not able to be transported). If the Scout is not prepared, the counselor will suggest the Scout return when they are able to complete the requirements.
 
Sign up for the following badges (in 15 minute sessions) starting at 8 a.m. on Saturday, October 26th. Partial Palooza will run 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Scouts are limited to signing up for two 15-minute sessions in advance to give everyone a chance to get a few requirements signed off. If counselors have openings, a Scout may utlize additional time.
